Ray of Light Foundation Thanksgiving Food Basket Drive
The first annual Ray of Light collecting and distributing Thanksgiving food baskets, this season will take place on Sunday November 19, 2023
According to Feeding America, 6.2% (13,200) of people in Williamson County are food insecure, while 12% (7,100) of children in Williamson County are food insecure, as of 2017. Approximately 65% are ineligible for government assistance because they reside above 185% of the poverty level. Who rely on Food Pantry donation to feed themselves or feeding their family members.
That’s why Ray of Light Foundation urgently hopes for a generous response to its Thanksgiving Food Basket Drive. Our goal is to provide Thanksgiving dinner fixings for at least 150 people or families and to donate baskets to local nonprofits that are committed to helping families in need.
